A power outage was scheduled for yesterday (at nine in the morning till noon), so the other night, I charged my electric-powered toys, namely my iPhone & HP mini.
Hubby went to work at about 7:30 and I thought I'd just sleep till the power got back, just in time for a late lunch. But I wasn't sleepy!!! I did some catching up on Desperate Housewives while eating a warm bowl of cereal. It was already past 10 am when my show ended, and the TV was still on.
I tried to get back to sleep and was turning the lamp beside me on and off whenever my sleep was disturbed. But I didn't notice if they really shut the power off. I guess it happened in less than the three hours that they announced. So I really didn't use up all the energy that I charged my gadgets with. I'm just glad that's all I had to recharge, I don't have an e cigarette or a robotic dog.
