Last night, we decided to give Black Friday shopping a try. We have not actively participated in these seasonal sales; this is the first time we actually sacrificed sleep to go shopping on what's called "the biggest sale of the year." I, my husband, my sister-in-law and her boyfriend went to the Great Mall for the midnight sale. We saw people already lining up at Best Buy and Toys 'R Us as early as midnight when the stores don't open until five in the morning.
We were in good moods until we exited the freeway. The lines to the parking lot starts about a mile and a half from the mall! Hubby had to take embarrassing driving measures to get to the mall a little sooner. Then parking wasn't effortless too; we ended up parking on the roof top of a three-level parking area. But that was fine, a little exercise won't hurt, especially with all the thanksgiving food we shoved into our mouths the entire day. ;p
One of the great deals that I saw on promotional catalogues is the 1080 HD TV, with 42-inch LCD screen. Kind of the like the tenant downstairs. Remember the one flaunting the Direct TV dish on their patio? I wonder how well Satellite TV performs in these weather conditions; almost everyday in a gloomy, drizzly day as the end of fall season draws near. Well, until we move to another place, I would never know, I'll just keep on wondering about the joys and pains of having DirectTV.
