Black Friday (Part 2)

Lessons learned:
  • Be at the store before it opens. This would give you a head start on parking and lines.
  • Not everybody in the parking lot are leaving, some are just stashing away their purchases in their trunks. It's safer to ask before stalking anyone. ;p
  • Lines are inevitable. Prioritize and decide which stores get the better of your time.
  • Be sure to have patience and energy. We saw about a hundred ladies line up for Coach bags and the successful ones were mostly sitting on the floor, looking exhausted --- yet victorious!
  • Save up for big purchases. There's a huge chance of getting them at discounted prices be that a dish set, lighting fixtures, a designer handbag, or a laptop computer.
  • Have cash ready. It's always better to pay in cash to avoid complications like communication errors in using your cards.
  • Be attentive. With so many people around, theft and riots are more likely to occur. Keep yourself safe and guarded at all times.
  • Bring company. When lines are so long that it will literally take you half an hour to finally checkout, have your girlfriend (yeah, girls definitely make better shopping buddies!) fall in line while you try a garment on or look around, then switch places so she can do her shopping too, then checkout together. Not to mention, having company also makes shopping extra fun!
