organize freak meets sanitize freak

if you know me, you know who the organize freak is...i don't really give it much effort, but my friends say my stuff are organized. it's weird how often i get reactions about this when it just seems normal to me...here's my secret: the reason behind this is my poor memory. everything has to be placed where i can easily remember, or if i forget, where i can easily think of it being placed. did you get that? i'll give you an example of things being in logical order, my stuff at home, i categorize them as "supplies" or "equipments" or "files", so when i want to find something, even if i can't remember where it is exactly, i know where to look, at least. which drawer to pull out, that is. another example, in my handbag, i want to see everything i have in there, so they have to be in a specific order. and it has to make sense too, like if i have to grab my phone every so often, it has to be near the opening, and when i carry the bag, it has to be before me and not behind, so as to avoid being snatched or something. this explains why my stuff are in the same place inside a bag even when i change bags...

right now, i'm experiencing something that i never really understood. it's one of the things that you have to go through, first hand, for you to say "i know!": men are messy!

i'm living with a man that i have known for almost a decade now. i believe i know him well enough; i know what he'll like and what he won't, i know what he can't resist (so i can get what i want in return, bwahahaha!). but i've had a number of discoveries now that we're sharing a house. one of which is that he, like most men, is messy...but! despite that, he hates germs! he's the one who always says "ew!" (refering to the mess he made! duh!)...i don't get it, why can't he just avoid making a mess in the first place to avoid culturing germs everywhere!?

just to be fair, he works as a laboratory technician, so he "sees" all these imaginary bacteria, he sanitizes. he always has alcohol around. he also keeps paper towels and water in handy. always worried if hands are dirty. won't let me touch him after i pick up a pack of frozen hash browns in the grocery store! but he can not, CAN NOT, organize! :O

that's just about as far as i can explain for him...here are some pictures of our "untouched" counter in the bathroom...everyday, his stuff fall in different places and if i happen to keep the dental floss inside the drawer, he ends up using mine, not even trying to find his own...hahaha!

my apologies: these photos are just for blogging purposes. it was not set up for a photo opportunity...and just for the record: that is NOT my razor! it trespassed to my side of the counter.

nevertheless, i love love this person...i'm just embracing the fact that he has a different definition of "clean."
